TaxAct - We used to use TurboTax, but it no longer supports Win2k, and it never supported Linux. TaxAct supports any OS with a browser. Works well. Only about $10 plus $8 if you need the State filed (Maryland has a great website, so I skip TaxAct's State feature). Generates PDFs you can save/print. Just like TurboTax, but cheaper and runs anywhere.

Bank Rates

BankRate Monitor - Provides a top 100 CD rate list, although it isn't complete. What they do have is an incredible searchable database of bank ratings. Search around for a bank using all the lists you can find, then come back here to find out how well that bank is doing.

Money-Rates.com - Another list of top CD rates. These tend to be the highest of the high.

BanxQuote - More bank rate information. Includes some things (like notes) that BankRate doesn't.

Quicken Bank Rates - More CD rates.
